thigh lift (thighplasy, leg lift, body lift) in bamberg
Saggy, flabby skin on thighs plagues many women. They dread wearing swimming suits in the summer or find it difficult to take their clothes off in front of their partner. Often, chronic skin infections or rashes on the inner thighs add to the problem, especially in the summer.
Moderate skin laxity in the upper inner thigh can be removed with a medial thigh lift. This procedure involves a horizontal incision from the groin to the crease of the buttocks. The resulting scar in the groin crease can be easily hidden under the bikini or panty line.
For large amounts of sagging skin and excess fat on the inner thigh we favour a vertical thigh lift - a very thorough procedure that ensures long-lasting results. The vertical thigh lift involves an incision that starts in the groin crease and runs vertically down to a point about a handbreadth above the inner knee. Once the redundant skin and fat are removed, the remaining tissues are tightened and sewn together. The resulting scar on the inner thigh is usually hardly noticeable when standing in normal position. Following the procedure, patients may be required to wear a compression garment for 2-4 weeks.
Loose, sagging skin on the buttocks can be tightened with an incision in the buttock crease, or in the course of a body lift, which involves a horizontal scar around the waist or hips. For organisational reasons, we don’t perform the latter procedure in our clinic in Bamberg, but we gladly provide consulting on this matter.
